Victorian Carved Oak Banjo Barometer

A Victorian polished oak aneroid banjo barometer made by T Armstrong and Bros, Manchester c.1880. Porcelain dial with lettering marking the weather predictions, along with the maker's name, Armstrong and Bros of 88-90 Deansgate, Manchester (w.1875-1900). The porcelain dial sat behind a bevelled edge glass, mounted in a polished brass bezel with a centre reading marker. Matching porcelain thermometer scale above with mercury action thermometer.
