A Victorian brass cased campaign barometer with engraved silvered scale by Charles Baker, Holborn, London c.1885. The circular brass case with hanging loop to the top and an adjustable bezel with engine turned edge for moving the marker to record the last reading or to use as an altimeter. Fine quality engraved silvered dial bearing the makers name Baker, 244 High Holborn, London; noted as a scientific and surgical instrument maker trading at this address from 1854. Presented in excellent original condition, fully serviced and working. Measures 2.75" diameter x 3.25" hig...h including hanging loop x 1" deep. Stock number 41857.
