Fine quality early Victorian brass bound burr walnut house keepers journal box with original books c.1850/60. Choice cut burr walnut veneered exterior bound with decorative brass mounts and i...nset with porcelain plaques to all four sides. Matching brass clasp to the top with key release securing the books. Five original matching leather bound books to the interior labelled house keeping, expenses etc; all in unused condition. Box presented in immaculate unused condition with working spring release and key. Measures 8.5" wide x 4" deep x 5" high. Stock number 40363.
