A fine quality mid Victorian burr walnut cologne box with original bottles C.1870. Concaved front with domed lid and matching rear. Decorative engraved brass overlays to the burr walnut exterior. Ope...ns to reveal a an original blue velvet and leather lined interior with divisions to hold the three cut glass cologne bottles with screw top gilt brass tops. Engraved brass hinges and lock, bears the makers label for Melliship & Harris, London. Superb original condition with a deep shine, working lock and original key. Measures 10" wide x5.75" deep x 5.25" high. Stock number 34548.
