Victorian Bronzed Cased Marine Barometer with Twin Crescent Thermometers
A Victorian polished bronze cased marine barometer with engraved silvered scale, twin thermometers and skeletonised movement in full working order c.1885. The broad dished bronze case with hanging loop to the top, matching bronze bezel with bevel edge glass and central reading marker. Skeletonised visible aneroid movement set to the centre with engraved silvered scale sat around the edge. Twin thermometers sat to the lower half of the dial, the alcohol action thermometer reading in Fahrenheit and the mercury action one reading in centigrade. Superb quality, fully serviced and working, ...presented in excellent condition with a deep shine to the case. Measures 6" diameter x 7" high including hanging loop x 2" deep. Stock number 40154.
