A quality Victorian brass cased marine barometer with enamel dial, fully serviced and working c.1890. The polished brass case with flared outer edge and decorative hanging loop to the top. Aneroid ...movement sat behind an enamel dial bearing the makers name Hughes & Son, 59 Fenchurch St, London, and central reading marker with glazed view window sat over the top. Hughes & Sons traded at 59 Fenchurch Street, London between 1879 to 1941 - click here for more information. Presented in excellent condition with a deep shine and in full working order. Measures 4.75" diameter x 2.5" deep x 5.75" high including hanging loop. Stock number 40679.
