Victorian Brass Book Rest
A top quality Victorian brass book easel with weighted base and fretwork decoration to the surface c.1875. The circular weighted base rising to meet the cross twisted column supporting the angled book rest above. The book rest surface in thick gauge brass with fretted and engraved decoration; ledge to the front edge to hold the book in place. Superbly made and presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 12" wide x 8.5" deep x 5" high at the front lip of surface rising to 8.5" high at the back. Stock number 41130.
