A late Victorian brass cased bulkhead marine barometer by John Barker & Co of Kensington, London; fully serviced and working c.1900. Polished brass case with cast bezel, glazed ...viewing window and central reading marker to the front. The porcelain dial with weather predictions and makers name is sat over an aneroid movement. The barometer has the original turned polished oak plinth with hanging mount to the rear. Bears the makers name John Barker & Co, Kensington to the porcelain dial, who is recorded as a specialist barometer and marine instrument maker working in Kensington between 1890-1900. Fully serviced and in full working order, presented in immaculate condition. Measures 11" diameter x 12" high x 4" deep. Stock number 41869.
