Victorian 8 Day Single Fusee Drop Dial Wall Clock
A Victorian mahogany cased 8 day single fusee drop dial wall clock with 10" dial in full working order c.1880. The quality solid mahogany case with moulded surround to the dial and matching back box, plus access door to the side. Mahogany drop box sat below the dial with moulded plinth; two supporting arms below with reeded decoration to the fronts. Original painted dial with Roman numerals and original black steel hands, sat behind a glazed viewing window mounted in a polished hinged brass bezel forming a door. The 8 day movement with anchor escapement and original chain drive to the ...fusee. Presented in excellent original condition with a rich patina to the casework; the movement fully serviced and working. Measures 10" dial diameter x 13.5" maximum width x 5.75" maximum depth x 23.5" high. Stock number 42059.
