Victorian 8 Day Boule Mantel Clock
A Victorian 8 day boule cased mantel clock with gong striking C.1885. The fine quality keyhole shaped case with brass and red tortoise shell boule work decoration. Ormalu trim and feet to match. The 8 day Paris made movement with anchor escapement and gong striking on the hour and half hour. Covex porcelain dial sat behind a matching convex bevel edge glass set in a cast brass bezel. Very original condition with a deep shine and original patina, fully overhauled movement. Measures 12" high x 7" wide x 4" deep. Stock number 36089.
