Very Original William & Mary Period Walnut Fitted Escritoire
A small proportioned and very original William & Mary period walnut fall front escritoire.c.1700. Book matched veneers and herring bone cross banding through out . Moulded cornice with concealed map drawer below. Matching moulding to the waist and foot, sat on bun feet. Good fitted interior with a selection of drawers and central cupboard; secret drawers behind some sections. Lifting leathered insert to the writing surface. Original brass ware, superb colour and original deep patina. Measures 37" wide x 19" deep x 63" high. Stock no. 32575.
