Unusual Victorian Silver Snuff Drawer
An unusual Victorian heavy quality solid silver snuff box with opening drawer to the side, hallmarked London 1879. Oblong form with rounded ends, one end with unusual pull out drawer, small incision to the top to aid opening and push to the opposite end to push the drawer forward. The drawer pulling out to reveal a clean interior with lip to the front edge to prevent spills of the snuff when opening. Bears the makers ...mark for London silversmith Edward H Stockwell, along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Superb quality and beautifully made, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 2.5" long x 1.25" wide x 0.5" deep. Stock number 40278.
