Unusual Two Compartment Silver Pill Box
An unusual solid silver two compartment pill box or compact with mirror to the lid, hallmarked Birmingham 1911. The polished silver exterior with rounded sides and corners for comfort in the pocket. Push but release catch and small flange to the front to aid opening, opens to reveal a an immaculate gilt lined interior. Two circular compartments with hinged snap closing lids for storage of pills or possibly cosmetics. The lid with inset mirror in excellent condition. Clear hallmarks to all sections along with the makers mark for highly regarded Birmingham silversmiths Henry Matthews, very heavy... quality. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine. Measures 2.75" wide x 1.5" deep x 0.4" high. Stock number 38617.
