Unusual Georgian Silver Wine Funnel
An unusual George III solid silver wine funnel with pull out plug style strainer and floral boarder, hallmarked London 1781. The well of the funnel with cast floral design boarder to the top edge, the sides with gadrooned design decoration. Ring turned mount to the spout. Made in one piece with unusual pull out plug style pierced base with knob to the centre to aid removal. Bears the makers mark for London silversmith Henry Nutting along with clear hallmarks to the main vessel and removeable plug. Heavy quality and presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 3.5"... diameter x 5.5" long. Stock number 39911.
