Unusual Burke & Co Silver Travelling Ink Well
A unusual and fine quality solid silver travelling ink well with fitted interior and embossed floral design exterior c.1900. The oblong form box with rounded corners embossed with a floral decoration. Hinged opening lid with button release catch to the front. Opens to reveal a fitted interior with two spring release ink well, glass liners to the interiors. Secondary hinged lid to the front opening to reveal two sections for nibs and a central section with sloping surface for stamps. Bears the makers mark for Burke & Co and marked Sterling.
