A top quality Victorian solid polished oak roll top desk with superb interior and original patina c.1890. The exterior with framed sides and back and solid oak fielded panels, twin pedestals with fiel...ded edges and moulded oak handles. Filing drawer to the base of the right pedestal and pull out surface extensions to the top of each, central drawer with arched frame over the kneehole. 'S' shaped tambour roll top opening with catch release lock which also centrally locks the pedestal drawers. Opens to reveal a superb original fitted interior with a selection of pigeon holes drawers and pen trays, inset brown tooled leather writing surface. Working lock with 2 keys, presented in immaculate condition with a rich colour and superb original patina. Dismantles for moving. Measures 50" wide x 49.5" high x 31" deep x 29.5" writing surface.
