A top quality mid Victorian burr walnut pedestals with original turned knobs and superb colour and polish c.1875. Moulded edge to the top with rounded front corners, burr veneered edge surrounding the... quality old tooled leather writing surface. Three drawers sat over the pedestal and knee hole. Each pedestal with three graduated drawers and original turned knobs: book matched burr veneers to each. Mahogany drawer linings. figured polished timbers to the sides and to the back to allow for free standing. Apron foot with moulded upper edge, small concealed castors under to aid moving. Presented in excellent condition with a rich colour and deep shine. Measures 48" wide x 26" deep x 29.5" high. Kneehole 24" high x 18" wide. Stock number 37556.
