A Thompson's of Kilburn 'Mouseman' adzed oak trinket box and cover, with trademark mouse to the lid and superb original patina c.1960's. Solid figured oak construction, the base carved from a solid... piece of timber with adzed finish to all surfaces. Matching lid with recess to the underside to fit it to the base, adzed finish and superbly carved mouse to the centre forming a handle. The interior hollowed out by hand with adzed finish unlike on the more modern examples which are machined. Superb rich colour and original patina, presented in excellent condition. Measures 7.5" long x 4.5" deep x 3.5" high to lid surface or 4.75" high including the mouse. Stock number tba.
