A George V period solid cast silver letter opener with engraved thistle top inset with a large moonstone, hallmarked Birmingham 1937. Stylised thistle shaped top with engraved decoration and large ...polished moonstone inset to the top. Matching thistle design engraving to the blade mount, the blade slightly tapering to a point with angled sides. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Joseph Cook and Sons. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 8.5" long x 0.75" diameter at the handle. Stock number 39620
