An early Victorian Thames Valley yew wood low back Windsor chair with crinoline stretcher c.1840. Bent yew wood back and arm supports with railed back and matching yew centre splat. Bell shaped moulded elm seat typical of the Thames valley makers with lined edge. Turned yew legs below supported by a crinoline stretcher. Superb original colour and patina, very sturdy and usable. Measures 21" wide x 21" deep x 37.5" high to chair back with a 15.5" seat height. Stock number 40204.
