A superior quality Thames Valley yew wood Windsor chair with fretted centre splat and crinoline stretcher c.1820. Bentwood back and arm rail with matching bentwood arm supports below. Fre...tted centre splat with unusual turned bullseye to the top typical of the maker Prior of Uxbridge, sat over the arm support. Moulded ash bell shaped seat with lined edge, turned legs below supported by a bentwood crinoline base stretcher. Presented in superb original condition with a wonderful original colour and patina, very sturdy and useable. Measures 23" wide x19" deep x 42" high to top of chair back x 16" seat height.
