A superior quality mid Victorian burr walnut fold over top gaming table on superb carved pedestal c.1875. The serpentine shaped top with book matched burr veneers and moulded edge, with a matc...hing burr veneered apron below. Sat on a superb carved and turned solid walnut pedestal with matching carved tripod foot, original castors below. The top folds over and revolves on the base to open, revealing a circular green baize interior with burr veneered edges to form a gaming surface; storage compartment below the surface. Presented in immaculate condition with a rich unfaded colour and deep polish. Ideal as a side table or for its original use. Measures 36" wide x 18" deep or 36" square open x 28" high.
