A superb late George III period yew wood high back Windsor chair with wonderful colour and original patina c.1820. Bent yew wood railed high back with fretted yew decorative splat to the centre. Matching bent wood arm supports with cut out and bobbin turned to the underside of the arm ends, which is typical of chairs from Lincolnshire. Moulded figured elm seat, turned legs below with bun feet to the ends and supporting crinoline stretcher to the centre. Superb quality and condition with a rich colour and original patina, very sturdy and useable. Measures 21" wide x 21" deep ...x 42" high to top of chair back x 17.5" seat height. Stock number 41782.
