A Superb William & Mary period figured walnut escritoire c.1700. Book matched veneers and herring bone cross banding throughout. Fall front writing surface with a superb fitted interior. Selection of ...drawers with pull out pigeon holes to the top and secret compartments behind. Centre cupboard with inset drawers. Leather writing surface to the fall front. Moulded cornice to the top with pull out map drawer below. Two short over two long drawers to the base with the original brass engraved fittings. Standing on turned bun feet. Superb colour and patina. Measures 42" wide x 19" deep x 66" high. Stock no. 37251.
