A superb quality mid Victorian burr walnut stationary box with outstanding satinwood fitted interior c.1875. Sloping front with moulded top edge and concealed drawer to the base. The choice bur veneer...s in immaculate condition and decorated with fretted polished brass bindings. The front double doors opening back to reveal an outstanding quality polished satinwood interior with fretted top divisions for holding stationary, envelopes and paper, pen tray to the base. The top section with hinged opening cover revealing a section for storage, semi concealed drawer to the base. The left door interior strung with elastic for holding notes and business cards, the right with glass white board for writing notes in pencil. Working lock and key. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine and original patina. Measures 11.5" wide x 8" deep x 10" high. Stock number 37407.
