A superb quality Victorian figured walnut jewellery box with ormolu mounts and fittings, c.1870. Choice figured timbers to the exterior with fretted engraved gilt brass fittings to the corners. Carry ...handle to the top with decorative emblem to the centre and matching lock escutcheon. Hinged opening top, opens to reveal an immaculate original dark red leather and velvet lined interior. Coromandel trimmed inner edges, gilt locking hinges and the original Bramah lock in working order with the original key. Mint condition throughout with a deep shine and good colour. Measures 10" wide x 8" deep x 3.25" high. Stock number 34237.
