A superb quality Victorian tortoise shell veneered banjo barometer by Quaddri, London C.1870. The fine quality case with ebonised sides and bone strung edge to the quarter veneered tortoise shell fron...t. Long silvered scale alcohol thermometer set to the top section with silvered scale barometer dial below sat behind a convex glass set in a polished brass bezel. Spirit level set to the bottom bearing the makers name, Quaddri, London. Remote reading marker knob below the dial. Fully overhauled mercury action movement with access door to the rear. Measures 10" wide x 1.5" deep x 37" high. Stock number 36994.
