Superb Victorian Sledge Ink and Stamp Stand
A superb and very collectable Victorian silver sledge design ink and stamp stand, hallmarked Birmingham 1899 - 1900. The sledge design base holding a cut crystal ink well with hinged silver top and collar. Turned ebony handle to one side and open dished end to the other for holding the stamps. The base hallmarked Birmingham 1899 and the well hallmarked 1900, all sections matching and original and bearing makers marks for John Grinsell & Sons. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine, perfect crystal well. Measures 4.25" long x 2.25" wide x 2" high. Stock number 36478.
