Superb Victorian Silver Plate Ring
A superb quality and very collectable Victorian solid silver 'potato' or plate ring with embossed and fretted decoration, hallmarked London 1901. The ring with concave form and rim to the top to hold the hot plates or bowl in place, plus matching rim to the base. Fretted and embossed decoration to the centre section with two intertwined swans to each side, set amongst floral decoration with a farming scene to one side and blank scroll design cartouche to the other. Bears the makers mark for London silversmith Maurice Freeman along with clear and desir...able Britannia standard hallmarks. Wonderfully detailed and presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 8" diameter at the foot x 4" high. Stock number 41656.
