Superb Victorian Painted Country House Jewellery Box
A superb Victorian walnut country house jewellery box with original fitted interior and later painted exterior resembling Georgian town house c.1850. Burr veneered hinged top sat over painted sides, s...uperbly painted and detailed to resemble a Georgian town house. The hinged lid opening to reveal a two compartment interior with sliding covers to the compartments and large open section to the centre. The inner side of the lid with an original framed print of Tewksbury Abbey set to the centre; original brass ring handles to the sides and engraved bun feet to the base. Excellent original condition with a patinated finish. Measures 13" long x 8.5" deep x 6" high. Stock number 38571.
