A superb quality Victorian carved oak cased sea-coast stick barometer by highly regarded maker Negretti & Zambra c.1885. The substantial solid English oak case with dished arched pediment to the top and carved panel to the cistern cover. Arched top to the barometer view window with angled bone scales with remote action vernier markers, large bore tube to the mercury action barometer tube for accurate readings. Matching bone scale thermometer set to the centre with original mercury action thermometer. Bears the makers name Negretti & Zambra, London to the scale. Fully overhauled movement and pr...esented in immaculate original condition with a deep shine. Measures 44" long x 6.5" wide x 3.5" deep. Stock number 37958.
