Superb Victorian Miniature Portrait
A superb Victorian miniature portrait of a lady painted on bone, sat in the original faux boule decorative frame c.1885. Superbly painted on a thin sheet of bone depicting a young girl in traditional Victorian costume set against a blue ground, signed Reynolds to the bottom right. Convex glass sat over the top, mounted in a decorative brass mount, the original frame with faux tortoise shell and brass inlaid boule decoration, the shaped outer edge strung with a broad band of mother of pearl. Presented in excellent original condition. Measures 4.5" wide x 5" high x 0.25" deep. Stock... number CS207.
