Superb Victorian Inlaid Walnut Credenza
A superb quality mid Victorian burr walnut credenza with fruitwood inlays and ormolu trim c.1870. Figured walnut top with moulded edge sat over a flared apron inlaid and strung with fruitwood with ...ormolu trim below. Framed door to the centre with quarter veneered burr walnut inlaid with fruitwood and trimmed with ormolu to the outer edge. Pilasters with Grecian ormolu mounts sat either side of the centre cupboard. Bowed glass doors to the display cupboards sat to each end, the door framed strung with fruitwood and the glass edge trimmed with ormolu. Moulded edge swept apron foot to the base with burr veneers and fruitwood stringing to match the doors. Original velvet linings to all three cupboard, working locks and ormolu keys. Presented in superb original condition with a rich unfaded colour and polish. Measures 59" long x 16" maximum depth x 42" high. Stock number 41255.
