Superb Victorian Carved Oak Banjo Barometer with Skeletonised Movement
A superb quality Victorian carved oak aneroid banjo barometer with skeletonised movement and porcelain dial c.1885. The slender sharply carved solid English oak case with turned centre. Skeletonised visible aneroid movement surrounded by a porcelain dial sat behind a bevelled edge glass mounted in a polished brass bezel with centre reading marker. Matching decorative scale to the original mercury action thermometer in glazed box set above the barometer scale. Fully serviced and working, presented in excellent original condition with a deep shine. Measures 34" high x 10..." maximum width x 3" maximum depth. Stock number 39040.
