Superb Victorian Burr Walnut Tantalus Box
A superb quality mid Victorian figured walnut brass trimmed decanter box with the original cut crystal decanters in perfect condition c.1870. The highly polished figured walnut exterior with brass trimmed edges, inset initials plate to the lid and Bramah lock. The lid opening to reveal an original fitted interior coromandel trimmed edge to the edges and original Royal blue velvet lined two section interior. The original matching cut crystal decanters with faceted corners and matching cut stoppers to each. Presented in excellent original condition with rich colour and polish to the ext...erior, a very clean interior and perfect decanters with no chips or cracks. Measures 8" wide x 4.5" deep x 9.5" high. Stock number 38886.
