Superb Victorian Boxed Marine Barometer by Vicary
A superb Victorian brass marine barometer by Vicary, London in the original glazed top mahogany case C.1885. The polished mahogany case with hinged top, circular view window to the ventre to show the barometer. Latched catches to the front, opens to reveal a velvet pad with turned bezel to hold the barometer in position. The dished polished brass barometer with silvered dial, crescent thermometer to the base and visible skeletonised movement. Sat behind a bevelled edge glass mounted in a polished brass bezel and centre reading marker. Bears the makers mark for Vicary, London. Finest quality a...nd presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Case measures 7.25" wide x 7.25" deep x 3.5" high. Barometer measures 5" diameter. Stock number 36541.
