Superb Victorian Amboyna Gentleman's After Dinner Tantalus
A superb fine quality Victorian amboyna veneered gentleman's after dinner tantalus with ring front panel and original cut crystal glassware c.1880. The exterior veneered with amboyna and trimmed with decorative embossed brass mounts, matching handles to the sides. Three original cut crystal decanters with matching stoppers to the back, panel sat in front with bevelled glass view window. The panel opening by spring catch and rising to lift out four original glasses sat in a satinwood cradle and releasing the decanters behind. Mirrored compartment below and cigar drawer to the base with origina...l silver foil lined fitted interior. Working Bramah lock and key, presented in superb original condition with a deep shine and with perfect crystal ware. Measures 13" wide x 11" deep x 12" high. Stock number 38060.
