Superb Tortoise Shell Mantel Clock
A superb quality Edwardian tortoise shell cased mantel clock with 8 day movement and silver stringing C.1910. The arched top case veneered to all sides with well figured tortoise shell, the front strung with silver. Sat on a chamfered plinth with silver bun feet. The 8 day French movement with platform escapement and convex white porcelain enamel dial sat behind bevel edge convex glass set in a polished brass bezel. Brass dust cover to the rear. Fully overhauled movement, the case in superb original condition with a deep shine. Measures 8" high x 6" wide x 3.25" deep. Stock number 35509.
