Superb Tortoise Shell and Silver Card Case
A superb Victorian tortoise shell and silver trimmed card box complete with original playing cards, hallmarked Birmingham 1901. The hinged lid with silver mount to the centre panel with show playing card set behind. The edges rounded edge lid and base veneered with polished figured tortoise shell. Button release catch to the front, opens to reveal a fitted two compartment green silk lined interior with two sets of period playing cards. Bears the makers mark for Henry Bourne. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine and original patina. Measures 4.5" wide x 3.5" deep x 2" high. Stock... number 36128.
