A Superb George II period oak and mahogany cross banded 8 Day longcase clock.c.1760. Brass and silvered dial with gilt spandrels to the corners. Date aperture and seconds count. Strikes on a bell to the hour. Made by Thomas Shepley of Stockport. Burr yew panel and ogee mouldings to the hood. Turned columns repeated to the case. Small proportions standing 80"high. Superb colour and patina. Full working order.
