Superb Quality German Silver Agate Top Box
A superb quality German silver agate topped decorative table jar with traditional folk scenes to the sides. C.1900. Three detailed scenes to the sides with floral decoration to the rim of the lid, inset with a well marked polished piece of agate. Opens on a locking hinge to reveal an immaculate gilt lined interior. Bears the symbol for Hanau silver and the import mark for Berthold Muller, specialist importer of this type of decorative item. The silver content between 925 and 1000, so finer quality than the Sterling quality. Immaculate condition. Measures 1.25" high x 1.25" diameter. Stock num...ber 34229.
