A rare opportunity to aquire a fine original oil on canvas by one of Englands most sought after artists Brian Sheilds, ' A late winters afternoon by the river' Signed Braaq bottom left. Superb sunset ...colours to the sky with figures wrapped in winter clothes to the foreground. As typical of this artist Brian himself depicted as a child in a striped jumper peering from behind a tree. Presented in a modern satin black and gilt trimmed contemporary styled frame. Brian Sheilds born in Liverpool in 1951 and died in 1997. Regarded as a leading artist of his time, exhibiting in Londons West in 1974 and 1977.
