Superb Moorcroft Claremont Vase
An early Moorcroft Claremont pattern vase in mint condition, signed William Moorcroft c.1914. The well potted vase slightly squat in form with small flared rim to the top. Superbly decorated with a continuous band of tube lined toadstools, smaller ones to the base. The background painted in a teal blue ground, the toadstools in soft speckled yellows, purples and deep reds with excellent detail. Signed in green W Moorcroft to the base and impressed with Moorcroft Burslem factory impressions indicating a date of manufacture c.1914. Presented in immaculate condition with no damage or rest...oration. Measures 4" diameter x 3.5" high. Stock number 38907.
