A superb matching pair of Antique marble topped inlaid walnut secretaire tallboy chests C.1880. Moulded edge Sorrento marble tops over the graduate four drawer bases. Each drawer with book matched ven...eers and floral inlaid panels to the centres, kingwood veneered chamfered edges. The top drawer with fitted fall front secretaire and original velvet writing surface. Canted corners and quarter veneered sides with crossbanded edges. Sat on a swept apron plinth with ormalu mounted feet. Matching ormalu lock escutcheons and decorative scroll to the foot. Working locks and key. Superb colour and patina, no damage or repairs to the veneers. Each measures 39.5" high x 20" wide x 14" deep. Stock number 35454.
