A superb set of late Victorian solid figured oak library steps c.1900. Made in two sections, the inner section pulling out on runners to form the bottom two steps or to be used as a smaller set of steps. Both sections with splayed legs with chamfered edges and cross stretchers. The top step with brass steadying pole set to the corner. Outstanding quality and condition, very sturdy and useable, presented in excellent original condition with a deep shine. Measures 24" high x 16" wide x 14" deep closed or 26" deep open x 31" high to top of steadying pole. Stock number 38516.
