Superb Large Oil by Brian Shields
A superb large original oil on board by highly regarded artist Brian Shields c.1978. Painted in typical Shields style with excellent detail to the buildings, this work depicting ships docked on the Me...rsey, with warehouses and factory chimneys setting the mood for this 1970's industrial scene. Painted on a late winters afternoon with dark and stormy skies giving the painting a real atmosphere and children playing in a park typical of this artists work. Signed 'Braaq' and attributed to his sister Ann along with a date of 1978. Presented in superb original condition and set in a quality contemporary black moulded timber frame with gilt highlights. Measures 41" wide x 27" high including the frame. Stock number CS95.
