A Superb George II period country oak bureau bookcase.c.1740. Unusual kneehole base with two drawers set back to the centre flanked by three graduated drawers to each side. Fallfront bureau with read...ing rest. Good stepped interior and sliding well to the centre. Astrayal glazed top section with adjustable shelves. Beaded trims to the edges and original brass fittings. Superb mid oak colour and patina. Measures 37" x 20" x 82"high.
