Superb Edwardian Mantel Clock in the Style of Macintosh
A superb quality and very stylish Edwardian mahogany mantle clock with inlaid front in the style of Charles Rennie Macintosh. The tall solid mahogany case with sides slightly bowed inwards towards the moulded base. Flowing arched top with overlapped moulded edge forming a cornice. The front of the clock strung with fruitwood to the outer edge, the centre inlaid with a stylized floral design in a mixture of exotic woods and mother of pearl in the manner of Charles Rennie Macintosh. 8 day Paris made movement with platform escapement sat behind a convex white porcelain enamel dial, matching bevel...led edge glass mounted in a polished brass bezel. Fully restored and working, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 12" high x 3.25" deep x 6" wide. Stock number 38642.
