Superb Edwardian Burr Walnut Chinoiserie Mantel Clock
A superb Edwardian period burr walnut Chinoiserie decorated mantel clock c.1910. Gilt engine turned dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands set behind a convex glass mounted in a brass bezel. 8 day French movement with platform escapement in full working order. The quality case hand painted with Chinoiserie oriental style decoration to the top and sides and burr walnut veneers to the bow fronted case. Figured walnut back with gilded back cover to access the movement. Ebony moulded edge base with gilt decoration, standing on brass bun feet. Presented in immaculate condition and in full ...working order. Measures 10.5" wide x 3.5" deep x 6" high. Stock number 38292.
