Superb Early Moorcroft Big Poppy Roll Neck Vase
A superb early Moorcroft 'Big Poppy' baluster shaped vase with rolled neck, signed William Moorcroft to the base c.1919. Superb potted with rolled neck to the top; the sides of the vase decorated with a continuous band of tube lined big poppies sat to the shoulders and foliage to the lower half. The poppies painted in soft reds and purples with green foliage set against a dark blue ground. Signed in full by William Moorcroft to the base along with Moorcroft factory impressions. Presented in immaculate perfect condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 4" maximum width x 2.75" d...iameter at the base x 6.25" high. Stock number 42145.
